I ordered a vent window pivot hardware kit for my 69 Super Bee. When I went to assemble my vent windows, I found that the chrome pivot parts did not line up. This led me back to do some investigation on the year one site. It appears that the kit is for A bodies (but listed for B bodies!), but the screw, backer, and spacers will work on a B body.
So, does anyone reproduce the chrome pivot housings for a B body? You know, the chrome parts that attach to the vent glass?

last time I ck'd (which was just this past winter)the pivot sets wete still avail thru Mopar.
I put a set on my last 1969 gtx apprx 1997 . and it fit it just fine, so maybe the current piece has been changed in someway

If it is shorter than the one you need, then it is pobably for a 69 b body vert or 67 b ht or a bodies. I made the same mistake buying a pair off ebay. Worked out ok though. I just gave them to my buddy with a 67 R/T.

I belive the kit is for an A body. They are shorter at the least.
Any word if B body pivots are available from Chrysler? My dealer was of no help.

'69 B-bodies--

PN 2809961 for 2 dr sedans and 2 dr hardtops.

PNs 2932436-7 for 4 dr sedans, wagons and ragtops. These were also the ones used on '67-76 A-bodies.

Called the dealership today and it's NS1. Any other ideas?

hi,
I had exactly the same problem with Year one,I told them and they sent anothe rset but stil A body so I now hav two useless sets. I am interested to now if you can source these as well

If you read the Year One description, they say the part is for an A body, but the hardware to mount it will work on a B body. It's a misleading descriptive - until you actually *click* on the part for further info, it is sold as a B body unit.
So, any more word on the ones from Mopar?

Hello

When our vent window kits for the 68-70 B-body hardtops are ready (late nov / early dec) we will also offer partial kits

1 kit will just be the pair of vent frame front posts

The other kit will be the pivot with dome washer (inner), the vent window channel and lock lever

Thanks Tony. I searched the internet over last night and the only kits available seem to be the a-body ones. It is my understanding that the pivot is different a vs b body.

If I can make a suggestion...could you sell the pivot assembly as a kit? Pivot, 2 washers, chrome screw and Bezel.
Please. I think that would be a good seller.

Excellent, I'll be ordering one soon. I saw the prototypes at the Nats and they looked nice, looking forward to the completed product.
