Phoenix Graphix Question - 03/20/10 01:48 PM

Are the Phoenix graphix good quality? Im needing a Demon stripe kit, and they have a HELL of a price on everything needed. Side stripes, tail pannel stripes, and the Demon340 for the fenders and tail pannel for 219 bucks.

What would you rate them as far a how long they will stay looking good?

Id look other places, mixed thoughts on the quality and they wont seem to budge on changing a kit specs...say ma maopar will only let them do factory stuff, so I had to buy two kits to get the same colors all around.

Now I use a local graphics shop, good quality paper, same as phoenix...

Did you look at performance car graphics???

From what ive seen phoenix uses overlays for mixed colors.....PCG is screen print type (or they were) and certain cleaners can take the color off.

First off...
There is no one on earth that has better quality stripes then PERFORMANCE CAR GRAPHICS
Secondly...
If you check out PCG's web site you'll find out that their price is very comparable....

Tell Beth that Alan Gallant sent you...

The Phoenix Graphics kit we got for my friend's 71 W-30 convertible was horrible.

I got to say, lately stripes/decals have been a "shot in the dark" as far as quality,......the majority of stripe kits I've purchased for myself and customers from PG were good, with a small handfull being dubious rejects, PCG.....hasn't been good IMHO, engine decals look nice, if the car is never going to leave the garage, pretty much the same for stripe sets, esp black reflective, the PCG stuff just doesn't hold up to that thing called "use" .....been finding it's much easier to just use these vendors stripes/decals as templates and stop off at a "quality" sign shop, and see and feel the mat'l in hand before making it

I used the Phoenix Graphix kit on my '71 Super Bee clone. It's been on the car for maybe 4 years. The quality seems to be very good, but the car is rarely out in the weather. The only problem I had was that the fender bees in the kit were the wrong size- they were they the same size as the trunk lid bee (too small). I ended up getting the fender bees from Firestone Collectables.

The owner of Phoenix Graphix Is Brian Kotowski. His personal classic car is a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am. Guess who he called to have all of his decals made to Factory specifications? You gotta love it when the owner of a decal company calls another decal manufacturer to do his personal vehicle! Very nice guy however.

(Alan G.... it won't be long now! We just invested over 80K in a state of the art, Roland model LEC 330 Computerized printing/cutting system. The best (and only) UV printing machine available in the World! Perfect color and precision cuts. I guarantee absolute, perfect reproductions of the factory originals. Don't tell anyone just yet. It is still a secret.)
