Did they come with them on the rear or was the bumper flush mounted?

Thanks Tim! I've had a '73 bumper and bracket on mine for so long I forget what the '72 fit like.

Yes, the bumper was flush-mounted, like the 70 & 71's. Only the 73 & 74's had the protruding bumpers with the rubber fillers.

However, the rear bumpers on 70-72's did have a thin metal "filler" that went behind the bumper, and filled the gap between the bumper & the body...

Thanks for the info Allen! That thin strip is still on my Challenger. It took a hit to the rear long before I owned it so it's a little wavy.

Glad to help, Scott. If you need a new one, I believe they are being re-popped, but I don't know who the vendor is.
