Wheel cover ID help - 11/22/09 01:15 AM

I can not find any PN on these. They are NOS but without a PN I can't ID them. At first glance I thought they might be 1970. I have seen them on 75 Darts too. Are they the same cover? Anyhow thanks for the help.

Looks like W15 (14 inch)... 1970 and newer...Dodge and Plymouth E body, A body, B body... I am not sure what year they went out - mid-70's I think. Hope this helps - Dave

If they are original 1970 and 1971 issued wheel covers they will have this part number stamped in the center of the underside of the wheelcover: 2944 403 Since your wheel cover does not have that part number, it is a later incarnation of the original 1970-71 original "issue" if you will. They used this basic design on a lot of cars for a lot of years. For whatever reason, later issed wheel covers don't seem to have a part number stamped into them. I think that later issed wheel covers also have minor differences to them than the originals, but I do not know what they are. That part number by the way, is for a 14" wheel cover. They also came in 15", usually found on wagons and C Bodies.

That makes sense. I ran across a large stash of NOS covers and these were the only one without a PN stamped on them. Thanks for the info to all.
