70 Super Bee V68 V88 1/4 Decal Color ? - 11/11/09 11:52 PM

On my build sheet is V68 deleting the longitudinal stripe, and V88 on the tag deleting the transverse stripes. My question is, then what color should the circle border and lettering be on the 1/4 panel "SUPER BEE" sticker that was "undeletable"? It's an eggshell white car with an F8 green interior and V1F green vinyl top. Is there any way to confirm this? Thanks.

car color/what stripe went with it
on here long ago..

I've seen white & black stickers but never a green one, is this remotely possible to have received / order green? It's tough for me to determine because I picked up the car over 25 years ago but when I got it, the previous owner for some reason spray bombed the whole car in flat black paint. The 1/4 sticker was there but it came off when I started the resto 25 years ago. I'm guessing it's black but...were they offered in green??

Are you sure it has V88? The "C" stripe was standard and could be deleted, but since the bumble bee stripe was optional, it shouldn't have a code to delete it.

As far as knowing what color the logo was, there's no telling. As far as I can tell, it was up to the line workers to determine which color to use. It would be either white or black, I've never seen a stripe delete car with a colored logo.

I'm 100 % certain on the V codes. As I said, the BS has V68 and the FT is V88. You really think a line worker was authorized to make a decision on which 1/4 sticker to install? What if he / she didn't communicate with the other line worker on the other side and one put white and one put black?? Could happen I guess but I'm sure a sharp eyed line inspector might of caught that..who knows..

I don't beleive there were colored ones used on V88 cars. My best guess would be black.

HPMike, Mine is just the opposite, white car. I'm seriously leaning that mine should be black. Is any-one reputable making GREEN ones?
