Repop 72-74 Barracuda grill - 10/07/09 11:49 PM

I see there is a repop 72-74 Barracuda grill being sold for $795, has anyone bought one of these? The web site is cudagrill.com. How did it fit? Thanks, John.

I made the mistake of buying several of cudagrille.coms grilles. They are PURE JUNK don't fit, poor quaility. I called him and he promised me the moon, he has yet to deliver anything except more bs. The grilles I got were for a GTX, and if anybuddy wants to argue there qualitiy I'll be more than happy to stand my ground. They are pure crap, run the other way, don't waste your money. Tell you what, if you choose to buy one, please don't come on here and wine, trust me you will.

Thanks for the reply on the grills they sell, these 72-74 Barracuda grilles seem harder to find for some reason. I always see 70 Cuda grilles for sale though.

Time flys, doesnt seem that long ago you could order NOS right out of the YearOne catalog or any parts vendor for around 3 hun. Seems like they couldnt give them away in the 90's

What year GTX grilles does he sell? Are they the 70 GTX and 70 Roadrunner grilles you see advertised on Ebay for $995 not including shipping? Are these repop grille assemblies junk?

For $800, I'd just convert to a '70 grille.

Better looking IMHO.

That's a horrible idea IMO and you'd have to change the signals too, right? It's the same thing as trying to convert a '72 Cuda to a '70; you end up with something less than either.....

I like the 27-74 grills a bit better, they don't look as plain as the 70's model does.

I have always prefered the aggressive look of the 72-74 grills too....

To get this thread refocused, has anyone had experience with the 72-74 Cuda repop grilles? I have seen before and believe the GTX product sucks but is there a chance the Cuda Grille is better? From the advertising, it looks like some painting will be in order as the red trim is not done at all and the argent in not the same as the original. This can all be dealt with but if it doesn't fit, I don't want it.
Thanks,
Craig

I was hoping to hear from someone who had bought one of the reproduction Cuda grills also. I am sure someone out there has bought one. I agree that it looks good on the website photo they have. Maybe someone will respond to this post that has one installed on a car. I remember seeing these 72-74 grills in the Year One catalog years ago. Should have bought one then. Thanks John.
