'70 Duster Rallye Mirror Remote Position??

Got a buddy who wants to add rallye mirrors to his '70 Duster.It has just a manual driver side mirror now.My question is,where is the opening located on the drivers side inner door for the remote control? Also does anyone have the measurements for correct placement of both left and right rallye mirrors?Thanks!!

on my 73 dart all the holes where in drivers door. i put the passenger side in same location as drivers.

I did the same and they look and function great!

Well I got a picture of where the mirror remote goes,just left of the Duster inner door emblem.I am looking for exact location so I can drill a hole in the upper door frame and also looking for correct diameter of the hole that the remote comes thru.I know I have a little room to play with with the mirror remote mounting nut,but want to make sure it's not too big either.Thanks for any help !!

These are both originals. Drivers side first. Measuring from the edge of the doors forward most point along the top body line of the car back, it's precisely 17.50" on the center of the retention screw.

1.00" dead nuts to the screw CL from the peak edge

Remote is hard to measure. I measured from the top of the forward door sill point rearward

As measured down from the top transition (which is a bit rounded)

And from the "Duster" door emblem forward, the top of the bezel is just about level with the emblems upper edge

Scott-Thanks just what I was looking for.Can you get a measurement from the top the door edge to the center of the remote hole? Also any idea what diameter the hole opening is? Thanks again!!

It's 15.50" from the door edge back to the CL of the screw hole

Same 1.00"in as the drivers side.

The remote hole? I don't know, just drill it until the part goes through and it will be big enough, BTW, doors without the hole for the remote are actually getting hard to come by, you might want to consider getting a spare door....Just a thought before you modify it.
