Tail light buckets? 69 Road Runner - 08/21/09 02:25 AM

So I took the tail light buckets off to clean up the edges of them in order to do a repaint. Do these get some kind of sealer or something between them and the body of the car? I can see some day light thru some thin gaps. Thanks

In every 69 runner or GTX I have taken apart there is no gasket. It is sealer. Put Fast and Firm sealer from 3m on there, mount it and tighten the nuts. Wipe the excess off, let dry and paint. If there was a gasket it would let the paint crack. It is sealer.
