stripping paint on plastic???? - 06/26/08 01:05 AM

anyone have any advice on striping paint on plastic? I am in the process of restoring the grill on my 69 charger and it looks like it has been painted 3 times by someone else. I would imagine that sandblasting would be too agressive. Any advice?

Original Easy-Off oven cleaner in the yellow can.It takes time and a few applications but it works.

I have a copy of a magazine article that someone did on restoration of a 70 cuda grille. The author claimed to have sandblasted the grille at low pressure.

I would have thought that sandblasting would be too aggressive, but maybe it works

That is the stuff! I look for the directions that say you do not need to pre heat the oven. That is the one you want. It is my favorite stuff for stripping A Body dash bezels of the black paint and chrome.
