Does anybody have pictures of the switch that mounts in the door jamb underneith the striker for the overhead console? I hear they are special,also I know this is going to be a long shot but does anybody repo them? Thanks in advance

No repo I'm aware of, they are a little special in that the wire coming off the tab at the switch exits at 90 degrees so the wire doesn't get grounded, I've bought a normal straight one from Napa & bent the tab, it worked fine...

Here's one taken apart. And can you believe I lost the little piece on the left. I didn't have the set for the other side, but still, just burned me up when I lost that little bumper.

Wow Now I know what that plastic peice is for .I only have the peice that attaches to the wire.Looks like you could almost use a brake line fitting for the body!

Go to a decent parts store & ask to look at door jamb switches, you'll find one that threads into the body correctly & only has one terminal, you'll see the brass tube looks completely wrong but what it does is slide in the steel nut that threads into the body so it adjusts to the needed height... You'll need to carefully bend the connector so it is 90 degrees like the original..

FWIW fancy switch but you can see the brass tube is to long, it will slide back into the steel nut when you close the door....
