Does anyone have a good pic of the bolts holding the fuel cap/tube to the quarter? I need a pic of one mounted to the car.

Thanks!

They look like cones with 3 slots in the side, sort of an anti-tampering device.

Thanks. That is what is on my 'cuda now. Where can I get the tool to take them off?

I've always used a screwdriver in the slot and banged it around carefully.

Mac & Snap On sell the sockets, maybe others as well. I've got one at home that I bought years ago and don't remember it being too pricy (relatively speaking). I can grab it and post the PN tonight if needed. But like Daty posted, carefully using a hammer and screw driver will work.

I would rather not do the hammer/screwdriver method. If you could get the part #, that would be great!

Does anyone know what that type of screw/bolt is called?

Socket is Mac and there is more than one number on it. When I went to the Mac web site none of the numbers came up using their search function, what is stamped is (I think) PN SC130, also E2, and a small 01. Best bet would be SC130, the others may be date of manufacture and maybe the plant?

Someplace in the garage is an old mac catalog I'll take a gander in there and report back.

Edit:
From a 1990 Mac catalog it's PN SC130 "Eaton Tamper-Proof Socket" for a #2 Eaton, price back then was $7.15 (now it's probably $27.15).

I didn't have much luck finding that socket. I did find a tool on Ebay from John's Cuda Shop that is for those screws. So I ordered one. I'll let you all know how it works.
