oil filter adapter positioning 71 340 dart??

Installing my oil filter adapter and was looking for a picture of the correct positioning of it. thanks

On our 70, the only way that the oil filter will clear is to have the filter almost be parallell to the ground.

i try to angle the fliter down as much as possible so it doesnt leak oil out so much

thanks, do you know in 71 were the adapters cast iron or the alloy ones?

I have 2 like on the left and they are both Aluminum. They made them both ways steel and Alum.
The one on the right is the late model ones
