1973 swinger finally painted- who’s rubber is best? - 02/28/23 01:55 AM

Howdy Moparts!

My ‘73 swinger has been off the road for almost ten years getting painted. It’s finally done and ready to get the glass put back in, doors, hood, decklid, bumpers, etc put back on.

It’s all mopar other than fiat spyder bucket seats but with a healthy 318 replacing the /6, vinyl top removed, drip rails metal finished and painted body color instead of getting chrome & gaskets, plus a metallic pearl base/clear instead of B5, it’s far far from being correct or any kind of proper restoration.

I need to buy rubber seals for the trunk, doors, windshield & backlight, but not drip rails, or any firewall stuff, so probably peacemeal not a ‘master kit’

I want to get stuff that will fit and work well and I will pay top dollar if I need to, but I don’t want to spend any money to have correct pebble beach markings molded in or anything.

Where should I be looking to buy from? Any brands to look for or avoid?

Thanks moparts!!

Metro, Soft Seal are ones I’ve used on my cars. Follow instruction and you should have very little issues with installation.

Thanks Migs Big!

Any supplier/verdor you like? Or is it direct sale or drop shipped or something? Specialty mopar parts house or just like summit or jegs stuff?

Try Dante's - member here, and he's on the East Coast.
Detroit Muscle Technologies - also a member here, "71_TA" IIRC, his stuff is dead nuts excellent.

Actually Dante is just across the river from Philly in Mullica Hill, NJ. My wife is from Philly and when visiting family, I took a short drive and met with Dante, great guy BTW. beer

And for some reason I like this GREEN car photo from his site, think it's an A something??
