Reproduction Goodyears in that size look impossible to find
none of the '67 Mopar B-body tires are available in reproduction - the whitewall on the '67 WSW tire was 1/2" or 5/8". the closest available reproduction would be the 1968 SPEEDWAY WSW, but its whitewall is < 3/8"
here's the best 7.75-14 WSW pic I could find - on a 383 1967 Charger
we put Michelin 215/75/14 radials on my brother's GTX (20+ years ago) to approximate the OE look - those are no longer available - HANKOOK recently had 14" radial WSW tires
I guess the Hankooks look pretty close. WOW, the Cokers have a really thin tread, like 4.5" according to the specs. That would be like driving on ice any time I get on it. I have Centerlines on the car now. I'm going to keep my eyes open for a set of magnums.
that's probably pretty close to correct tread width for the '67 tire - although, I think the "pie-crust" side wall was gone
the '66 HEMI guys have to settle for a 7.75-14 BFG "blue line" with 4-1/2" of tread traction? NO!
I can only imagine how bad the cars drove back then with such a skinny ass tire
There is absolutely zero chance my car will ever get a set of these. Due to both the size and I feel the blueline would clash with the red interior in a big way , IMO.
ALTHOUGH, I am giving some serious thoughts to go with this look from time to time. Serious thoughts', as I have a set of the rims and a set of hubcaps that are pretty nice
Wide tires, I mean WIDE tires as compared to what's available now, wasn't really the thing. Wasn't the rule for Super Stock a seven (7") inch wide slick at the time? Mini vans today have more than seven inch wide tires. Didn't we think F70-14 WIDE OVALS were really WIDE in '68 If you think that a 7.75-14 tire had little or no traction on dry pavement you should have seen what they were like on a wet road or in the SNOW BTW they fit perfectly on both street car rails and if you got caught on a pair of wet street car rails on a downhill in Pittsburgh and had to get on the brakes hard because someone decided to make a left turn at the last second in front of you it was a real pucker moment even with F70-14 red lines on your '69 Road Runner DAMHIK.
