1970 GTX St. Louis Built Bumper Jack Question - 07/23/21 01:03 AM
I have a 1970 GTX that was an early build at the St. Louis plant.
The GTX was built on August 6th 1969 for the 1970 model year.
My question is the correct bumper jack mast the fence post type like Lynch Road or the tubular type?
I have one of each here and trying to decide which one is correct?
Thanks for any help on this!

Both of my St Louis built convertibles have/had the T style post. I can not be certain of eithers originality though since both had several owners but seemed very legit cars.

I can't answer for '70, but the dozen or so '68-'69 Road Runners I've owned - mostly St Louis, 1 L.A. & 1 Lynch Rd - all had T-posts.
Most were original unmolested cars, a couple that stuff had never moved including the spare tire.
I think my '68-'69 Chargers also had T-posts.
I can recall a tube-type in one of my Dusters, either the '72 or '74.

John,
When I looked into this question some years back here is what I found for 70 B body jacks:
1) St. Louis plant = tube style ( except for Charger)
2) Lynch Rd plant = T style
3) Los Angeles plant = Tube style
I hope this helps.
