clutch fork and boot painted when engine/bell done?

On a 71 340,also Im assuming starter sheid and bellhousing access cover are installed before paint?

In my 69 Hemi bird, bought in January 1970, the clutch fork was unpainted and the flywheel cover was painted V2 orange on the inside; go figure......
