Does anyone know what the difference between 1972 and 1973 318 and 340 passenger car valve covers are?

I think, THINK, I have an original 1972 318 up at the shop but I am not sure of the year. And lately it seems I've been mistaken (wrong) more that I've been right so I haven't contributed.

There is no difference for 1972. Parts book shows (R) 3577636 and (L) 3577807 for both 318 and 340 . There is a different part number for 318 left side w/o electronic ignition, 2946011.

I have a pair of 1973 318 valve covers here, trying to see if they would be correct for a 1972 340 engine restoration.
