E-body heater box restoration - 04/02/09 05:03 AM

I'm trying to refinish the heater box housing. I remember it was mentioned that glass beading it and clear coating would work. I think Jules posted some pictures. What would be a good clear coat to use to get the right low gloss.

I did a test piece, glass beading gives a nice finish, but I haven't found a suitable clear yet. I tried a few different rattle cans, with poor results. I'm looking for something I can spray with a gun.

Have you tried TremClad Satin clear available at CTC?

Yes, I have. It acually seems to be too flat.
