Off the top of my head, I've used allcarbs.com (Allstate Carb in NY) and Quadrajetparts (they also have Carter stuff).
There was recently a thread here on Carter parts, either in Q&A or Race section, some info there.

Rockauto shows part number 676A for the 71 carbs, and I think that is correct. I think that’s the kit I used on my 71 Cuda. It looks like they’re in stock at Rockauto, but there’s several on eBay too. Hygrade 676A.

What’s the difference between the 71 and later? I know the difference between the carbs but most kits I’ve bought have 9000 gaskets for every known carb in the box.

way to many differences to explain ,way many differences, metering rods ,floats, jets, and the 71 carb meters the air on the idle circuit not the fuel.

MANY years ago I'd read the '71 thermoquads were unique, they called it a "solid fuel" carb. I've never understood what they were talking about, still don't.

I wanted to know the difference in the kits not the carb? There’s Multiples of base gaskets and a lid gaskets, needles and seat, accelerator pump in each kit I bought.

well then try them , I just tried to explain the differences in the carbs which also includes the gaskets. there is a reason that they make a different kit because the parts in the other kits don't work.

What are these “parts” you talk of?

quit being lazy ,if you don't believe the answer to the question ,then do your own research . buy which ever kit you want and when you see that the parts don't line up you will then find out which ones don't work. its realtively easy to under stand, there is a kit made just for that particular carb and there is a reason for that .

So, do you know? You throw something out there then when someone ask you specifics, you say look it up. This is an informative forum is it not?

what makes the difference you have already been told they are different , Well I gave you a heads up to help you move on towards repair, if its comparisons you want do you own research then you will have all the answers you want or you could just buy the correct kit for your carburetor and be done with it. Buy the way when it comes jetting and metering rods the are also different. It may be an information board but I don't have to do your research for you .
