What company makes the best quality carpet for our Mopars ?. . ECS offered carpets shipped flat for ease of installation years ago but they no longer offer them which is a shame. I want the best carpet you can buy has to be top quality in OE color, juke backing fit etc.

All of the molded carpet including the ECS carpet comes from ACC Carpets. The ACC brand supplies all of the vendors as they purchased the Trim Parts carpet line back in October of 2017. So just check out your preferred vendor. Most vendors will have it drop shipped directly from the ACC location.

The backing that is available now is known as "shoddy padding", man made fiber material. The jute padding as used back in the day is no longer allowed to be manufactured. Some of the guys will go with the mass backing which is a rubberized coating as found in the modern day cars. It still utilizes the shoddy padding in the required areas.

That post goes back to September of 2012. From the most recent posting on that particular post, ECS had three of the 66 to 70 B-Body four speed carpet sets in black in stock and the later post is that one person has just purchased two of the three so only one 66 to 70 B-Body set remains in inventory to sell. In recent years, ECS would take orders and once enough were received, they would place the order with ACC to get the best pricing and to minimize shipping fees to them from ACC.

As others have posted in that particular posting, the trick to installing the ACC carpet is to remove it from the packaging as soon as it arrives from ACC. We have been working with them for a number of years now and I strongly suggest purchasing the carpet only a week or two prior to needing it for installation. When I call an order in, it is usually cut that evening, then molded and ready to ship within 24 to 36 hours max. Buying the carpet that has been stored in a box for months or years will only lead to frustrations and more effort to get it to conform to the floorboard.
