1971 a body jack color..

looking to redo the jack base on my 71 demon. i have already done the cad plating, but just wondering what color the jack base should be i have black and blue bases, just curious as to whats correct

71 Swinger I used to own had a black jack base when I bought it fwiw. I bought the car used, but it was fairly original.

Don’t know if this is of any help since the ad says it’s from a 70 Duster, but it looks like the date code is at least from 1970.

I documented a 71 Demon with 3000 original miles on it, took pictures of the jack base and hook...

From what I've seen most LA built cars got black base and hooks and Hamtramck's base's were grey with a black hook.

I have 3 70-71 Dart hooks that are grey.
Weren't all 71 A bodies built in Windsor?

my demon was built at Hamtramck jack mechanism was grey but had a few bases that were blue and black so not sure whats correct. Looks like grey it is.

When I took the spare tire out of the trunk it was the first time anyone had ever removed it, so the fingerprints of the guy who put it in at the factory was still on the wing nut if he didn't wear gloves...:LOL Scott Smith was there when I did it, and he took more pictures than I did. The ONLY thing that had ever been changed was the original 71 carb, you could see where there was a small fire at some point, so you wonder when the carb caught fire? It was a 72 carb that was on there...

I know an older post but here is one from a /6 Demon laying in the trunk I grabbed years ago.. Second one I had sold a whole jack assembly with an orange hook about 2 years ago..

I always thought the spare tire rim was facing down with the back of the tire facing up?
