A12 Hood Pin Lanyards ?

I had a guy drop off this bundle of lanyards saying they were left over from his early 80's A12 restoration project.They measure 6 1/4" long when laid out flat and are rubber,dipped coated.Do they look correct or original? I know little about original A12 stuff,so looking for some info.Thanks

Im not an A12 guru by any means . But I dont think they used a black rubber coated lanyards.

i'm no expert either, but i believe they had a clear vynal coating, the eyelets were plated, and they were longer [?].

My original A12 RR hood pin lanyard to show that over time the (completely) black coated lanyard goes away. Also to note there are two different hole size and length eyelets on the ends. Small eyelet longer length for the rivet and larger hole and shorter length for the hood pin clip. ****BTW they are listed on original factory documentation as "A-body glove box door lanyards" which I don't know if they were coated or not. I'm sure if the A-body glove box lanyards were not coated they were completely coated for the A12 hood lanyard use to keep from marring or scuffing the fiberglass hood finish from movement from wind at speed. I would coat bare lanyards for that reason even if it is found the originals were not........but I feel they were originally fully coated for the reason mentioned.

My '69 Dart (M-Code) glove box lanyard......looks similar if not the same as my A12 hood pin clip lanyard both without coating. But as I think the original A12 hood pin clip lanyards were completely coated in black.

The reference to the A body glove box lanyard is exactly what the guy that gave them to me said.As they do have two different size eyelets as mentioned also.I better go grab them out of the scrap box.Thanks for the info

Likewise for me too..........as one can clearly (pun) see the black coating is gone from my original set and I surely ("don't call me Shirly" ) need a set of 4 for my A12. They would go to a good home and real A12
