Ebody power window regulator question. - 08/12/19 12:40 PM

are cuda and challenger power window regulators for converts and HT the same?
my guess is yes.
i no longer have my parts books and vintage crash estimating manuals to verify. their really aren't any on ebay to verify also.
the closest i can find is these listings and they only state cuda/ challenger. no mention of HT/ convert.

repo parts also no mention of HT or convert and also just a listing not a sold one
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-74-Ch...Kit-Front-Without-Switches/392199806800?

next 2 are sold listings OEM parts but nothing about HT or convert

Correct but my buddy used H/T quarter regulators in his vert. Didn't seem to be a problem.

this is what makes me believe they are the same. i would like to know for sure. it's been at least 15 years since i worked on E body window parts. i sold or scrapped all of my window regulator parts i had laying around several years ago. i don't have any for comparison purposes.

i will probably get flamed for this. but in my opinion the regulators are all the same. between ht convert cuda challenger.
yes the cranking parts, handle studs/ arm with gear, are different, but they are just held to the regulator arms by rivets and bolts.but the arm parts that move the window up and down are all the same between all of the E body cars. drill out some rivets, change a couple of parts and you just made a different regulator.

I believe the assist springs are different between the manual and power windows. I broke one on my driver's side power window a few years ago. I used the spring off a manual regulator I had laying around. I can't tell any difference between it and the passenger side with the original spring.

On the power window regulators: the fronts are the same, the 1/4's have a notch cut out to give the glass more clearance on the convertibles.

Anyone have the part numbers for the rears?

I'm told the converts are: 3454907 (LEFT) and 3454908 (RIGHT).

What are the hard top part numbers?

On the regs I'm selling, I see:

3454908 (but it actually looks like a six)

and

2999429
