E Body Door glass up stop brackets - 12/21/18 12:34 AM

I am installing the regulators/door glass/brackets on a 1970 Cuda and find there are no door glass up stop holes with the factory nut and alignment tab that allows you to install the brackets. Did something change in later year production cars where this was eliminated or relocated? The doors are original Chrysler parts but I do not know what year car they came off of. It looks like I can drill the holes and install a threaded insert but am curious if someone else has had this issue and what they did to resolve it.

I know the early 70 Cuda doors were different from the 71s.Inside braceing for one.Haven't checked the up stops yet.

Do you have a photo of the door from the inside with the inner door panel off?

I could probably send you a photo tomorrow if you provide an email., The inner door looks identical to any other Cuda door. the area where the up stop brackets go are the same as well, just minus the hole/threaded nut as I described in the original post.

1970 doors have more holes at the bottom for the plastic interior door panel clips than later doors, so it is an easy way to ID the 1970 only doors.

Another easy way is how the window sweep felts are attached... slots for clips or screw holes. That's how I id them.
