Go on youtube and search speaker re coning. There are lots of places that sell the kits and you can do it your self. It's not that hard.

Agreed, very easy to do. just need some patience. i need to find the receipt from the speaker supply place in florida where i bought my pieces for rebuild. it should have the exact parts #'s as well so you know what to order

The reason I said watch youtube is that several companies that offer the kits have their name and contact info on the video.

I have used Jackson Speaker about 50 times never any kind of problem. Years ago I bought every old speaker I could find and had them reconed at Jackson. Then resold them on Ebay and did very well. Every reconed speaker came back to me carefully packaged with protective cardboard over the front.

I used to rebuild and repaint with the proper paint the grills too, sold many.

the real key is finding the exact material that the terminals solder to. not sure if its bakelite or not.

New cones come with a new voice coil and with the little wires, all that needs to be done is solder them to is the main terminals.

Bob, I found and used this fellow out in California for the ‘70 cuda dash speakers. Easy to work with and he did a great job on them.
