trunk floor drain hole size question

trunk floor drain hole size question - 03/11/09 05:59 PM

Ok, since dad and I are presently working on the trunk section of our 70 chally vert, we noticed that the floor did not have the drain holes cut out when the previous owner had the trunk floor replaced. We have a general location of where all the holes go, but we do not know what the hole saw size that we need should be.

Can anyone help us with some measurements?

Thanks,

Brian

If you do a search for (challenger trunk floor hole location), you will find what you need. Member "Snoopy" uploaded a chart for a Cuda trunk floor for me in that topic. Cuda and Challenger trunk floor holes are same except gas filler tube location.

Snoopy,

Thanks for the diagram. That oval hole at the very bottom, is that the hole for cudas for the filler tuber? Also, can you point out which ones are 3/4" as the 1" and 3/4" circles seem to be a bit close in size when I printed the diagram out.

Thanks again for your help.

Try this. If anyone sees any mistakes, please point them out so I can make this as accurate as possible. There is only one 3/4" hole and that is the fuel sending unit access hole.

6 - 1 3/4" Holes
6 - 1" Holes
1 - 3/4" Hole
4 - 1/4" Holes

I do not see the hole for the license plate light wire?

Photos are from a 1970 Challenger, I do not know if they are the same for a Barracuda.

The hole in this one is 31/64;

Barry,
The Barracuda doesn't have that hole.

Good to know, thanks!

Where is it on the Barracuda then? Tailpanel?

The harness goes across the bottom of the rear panel and then goes up and over the lock housing. The license plate light sits above the license plate.
