1971 Challenger hood trim black out tape - 09/11/18 06:59 PM

I got my '71 out of storage recently and noticed the black tape on the front hood molding is getting tired. My friend who does trim restoration offered to paint the black for me, but as I recall tape is correct not painted, but wanted to confirm?
Who sells that tape?

The 71 molding has the bottom ~3/4 recessed. On the R/T headlight bezels the recessed part is painted black, but the hood molding the recess that matches up with the bezels is blacked out with a flat black tape. I had in the back of my mind that tape was correct for the hood molding, not paint.
I have to look at mine closer when I get home and see if I see any signs of black paint under the tape or on the bottom edge of the molding.

The hood molding is painted and then the tape is added to create a sharp line

Phoenix has the decal

If you need a pic of an original part let me know

Thanks Chris, I'd like to see a picture so I can know what to aim for in making mine good.
I checked Pheonix Graphics website but don't see the tape. I seem to recall running across a listing for it somewhere at one time.
