68 a-body convert a-pillar trim - 06/18/18 04:17 AM

Finally getting to the trim. I was missing the lock strip when I took the car apart and can't recall exactly how the pillar fit. Does this look correct? Anyone with photos they can share? The bottom gap is my main question. But that looks to be dictated by the lock strip if the stainless is to be centered on it. Right now it's about as high on the adjustment slots as it can get. Can't see the old marks as the trim was polished.

Looks good to me, they never fit very well anyway. The repro lock strip is not 100% correct too...

Just noticed my images are sideways. Strange, on my phone looked ok.

Anyway, yes the lock strip I am finding hard to source. Seems like there are many versions out there. The first I had was not close, this one is closer, I think.

Agree with Jim. Looking at the history of those 67 and early 68 cars and the shoddy workmanship, mainly because of the 67 UAW strike you are doing well with your particular fitment.
