*moving this from general question board*

I feel like this has been asked before but I can't find a definitive answer.

Will the reproduction 70 challenger trim, bezels, and grill bolt in to a 71? I already have reproduction fenders and hood. I realize the hood latch assembly will have to be replaced as well.
My trim, bezels, and grill are hashed and I like the 70 look a little better.

Don't worry purists, nothing is remotely stock on this car anyway.

Yes - you need to removed the header panel that holds your hood opener (the pivot thing.

You'll need the 70 style hood catch and latch.

Also the 70 grill bolts to the fenders on the ends versus the 71 used push pins but that's minor

71 fenders have a notch for the grill. 71 were used as replacements.
You do see cars with one 70 and one 71 fender at times as well.
It is a simple fix to wed sheet metal in and closes the holes up.
The adjuster {bumper} is also in another spot but that is not glaring as a U shaped hole.
I would fix that if switching from a 71 to 70 grill

The notch is for the 72 style grill - gas no effect on the 70 or 71 grills
