Is it just me or does this RR look a little to purple? I'd like to see the fender tag.

999 paint code?

I didn't think they offered Purple in 69.

Kind of weird that it has the jacking instructions sticker on a repainted car?

OMG, if that is FC7 and it is a 99 or factory applied color then this is another odd Mopar from the Syracuse NY area. If so then add it to the list of never say never Syracuse NY odd ball Mopars. Some may know what I'm talking about. wink

Yes the jack instructions taped over would be odd and the fact if that is a Lynch Road assembly plant RR then the jack instructions is in the correct place.

Also if that is a late build or SPD LR car in say the RMXXX9A300000+ area then hmmmmmmmmmm maybe, never say never.

Looks like the voltage regulator is painted purple in the front view picture. I'm guessing repaint.

Come on now. There have been 'tons' of pre 70 cars repainted purple. Back in the 80's I would see 68-69 Chargers, Darts, GTXs, Coronets etc. painted purple. We all knew that they were wrong, but it was a popular thing to do. This here is just another example of one.

I'm not going to second guess anyone but when a seller says the car is rough, all I expect from that point on is that it will cast a shadow in the sunlight.

I documented a 69 GTX in Rallye Green which was a 99 paint code, only supposed to be available on Roadrunners. Doubt that purple would have been available on a 69, but ANY color offered from John Deere green to Safety Yellow could have been ordered. work

Would be worth a look. Awful lot of trouble to paint it purple. Behind headlight rings, etc.

i removed and put back my jack instructions
when i painted a car back in the 80's

Looks like the trunk rear seat back is painted purple and there's a big upright compressor off to the side......looks like a garage repaint to me now. Is there a VIN and fender tag and is the seller claiming it's the original factory color regardless of a repaint?

Dont pass up this piece of Mopar Muscle history
Seller forgot to add: "So rare that Plymouth only made 84,000+ Road Runners in 1969, don't let this rare piece of Mopar Muscle History get away."

Just found the pics of the GTX, it is actually a 97 paint code. Here are a couple pics, it was actually painted F8 because the "restorer" did not know what 97 meant and saw the F8 code... scope

Its been for sale for I would say 6 to 8 months. I agree it would be nice to see the fender tag.
