1971 A Body brake booster looking for the correct one. Is the one in the picture correct.
Can someone post a picture
I know what 67 to 70 look like, just not sure on 71's

They used that booster thru 76. My 73 Scamp has one.

Yes and I parted out a 76 A-body a few years ago that had the same booster too.

Yes proper booster is a 7-1/4 inch unit, they are rebuildable from Booster Dewey. There is also a 7 inch unit that is not rebuildable. The larger units were first installed in 1973. wave

Can you see the difference in 7 inch and the 7 1/4?

The difference is there is a removable band around the 7-1/4" like Scott shows above. The 7" is crimped together.

I am told that there are two brake booster a single diaphragm for drum and dual diaphragm for disc. How do you them apart? besides taking them apart?

I called Dewey and he told me the single Diaphragm is different shape plus 9 1/2 inch. He did also said the 67 to 69 are 6 1/2 inch and the 70 to 71 are 7 1/2 inch
