Then just post the questions here to share. Many of the colors and finshes are the same for B and E bodies.

Paint ID markings will be different leaf springs eyes. And stencil numbers on rear end and manual trans will be unique because they are typically part number or date driven.

The GM and Ford resto manuals make the underside of a car look like a rubber stamp carbon copy of each other. With every mark imaginable compounded all into one glorious rainbow... Silliness

As said above, B and E-Body suspension parts are the same colors/coatings as A-Body's. If you have one of those "manuals" then you will be close. For specific A-Body paint daubs and marks each year has some differences. wave

I have an unrestored driver 69 GTS 340 hardtop. It is a non-undercoat car from Florida that is in pretty decent shape. It is kinda buried but I might be able to take pictures or get you some information as I'm the 3rd owner on paper and the two previous were mother and son.

I always love to see pictures of unrestored cars! I have had a couple of them and wish I would not have sold a 69 383 GTS that I had 15 years ago and forgot to take lots of pictures of. realcrazy

Since yours is a convertible it was made in Hamtramck. The biggest thing different then an LA built car is the underside primer color and standard and optional extra undercoating pattern.

Are you re-painting or re-undercoating the underside of the bare body?

Just finished mine and I can tell you that you can never take enough pictures as you are disassembling. I messed up by missing out on taking several pics and slowed my progress of putting the car back together. Also, factory service manual is a must. Add all that to a good forum for asking questions is a big help. Another good resource for parts and questions is the son of Chuck Hoffman (Hoffmann Winner Circle) Todd Hoffman. He's into the A Body GTS cars.

PM me and I'll give you his email address.

For me, pictures always had what I really needed just out of frame or was the one photo that was blurry. My luck.
Wish I had the same quality digital camera 15 years ago as today.
