1972 Cuda restoration questions - 08/26/17 01:50 AM

My son bought a 72 Cuda. Father/ son project car. He's back at college so dads running with the ball now. We have the dash out. I have a couple part questions.
We have the dash out and completely apart-
1)It's a black dash, what is the correct color to use to paint the metal dash? - flat black, semi gloss?
2) Going to rework gauges- Where do I buy a new quartz clock kit and a tach kit?
3) Is there a link or something where I can find all the correct colors, coating for restoring the car? Still need parts for the car, if you have certain things that you have extra email us. if you have restoration info please drop me a line. PAR12730@sbcglobal.net thanks for your time. Phil

The dash paint gloss level is called 'suede'. See the 1972 model year interior paint chip info at http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/paintChipCharts/_1972PaintChipCharts-01.shtml?load_img=4

1. Suede Black - Ditzier Part #9392 - a good PPG store can mix it up for you. It's not cheap, it's not easy to spray right. And it's not legal in some States.

2. eBay is probably the easiest if you are not sending you gauges to be restored

3. This is a pretty good reference http://www.iccahome.org
However as you get to each part you might want to ask here. It's just sometimes hard to figure who is right laugh

Plenty of us will help you by email or through the forum
