My 68 is coded for a black stripe and it was painted... I believe my satellite I sold a while back had a white one I didn't put back on. I looked for pics and couldn't find any good ones online to show them.

I think that stipe is a little too high, they were about 1" from the top of the fenders and door. It's correct that it stops at the rear fender extension/tail light bezel frame.

For 69's, single painted and double vinyl are detailed out in the new book 1969 road runner in Detail. Lots of pics of both as well as dimensions called out from survivor cars.
Thanks guys. I found one that looks to have the right engine and trans, but the build sheet and fender tag are long gone. I don't figure there's much guilt in building it the way I want it which will make it a near twin to the one I had 40 years ago. It (The one 40 years ago...) had been repainted with a double painted stripe. I think the single stripe will look cleaner.
