How to remove & replace cat whiskers on 64 B body - 05/21/17 10:04 PM
Its a more involved project than I realized, but want to do a good job replacing the cat whiskers & wind lace trim on my 64 Belvedere HT, so I need some tips & advice on some questions:
1. Do I remove the door & quarter glass to install the cat whisker that goes on the outside? If so, how do I remove the door glass from its raise/ lower mechanism, or does the whole crank mechanism have to come out? Do these glue on & is the black 3M weatherstrip glue the stuff to use?
I won't worry about the door panel whiskers since I'll probably send them off to SMS for resto & they'll probably do those whiskers.
2. What's the best way to remove the vent window & R&R the rubber triangle seal?
3. Does the door windlace with integral rubber seal press on or glue on & is the black 3M glue best for that?
