B-body window up-stop question

B-body window up-stop question - 06/04/08 03:21 PM

Hey all - I was adjusting the windows in my 69 Super Bee, and noticed that the window up-stops in the doors appear to do nothing. They are too short to actually stop the window arm from raising higher.
These are the "L" shaped pieces with the fuzzy tops (which also appear to do nothing).
Anyone have the same problem?

I don't have a picture of this item. I am assuming that those of us who have adjusted/assembled a 68-70 B body door and window assembly would be familiar with this.

These things can be adjusted by the bolts in the rear of the door as well as on the inside.

I have recently installed them however I have not gotten to the point where I need to adjust them accurately just yet.

Thanks for the pictures!
However, those things look different from what I have. I'll have to post pictures of my scenario next week.
Still, thanks!

I too am having somewhat of a similar problem.
In my case the window stop is missing causing the
window to roll up too far. I put a wanted ad in the "B body parts wanted" and still can't find one. It does affect the action of the front window.
