Need a pic of carb dash pot installed - 02/23/17 04:39 AM

I just got a dash pot and bracket for the AVS carb for my 69 Coronet R/T 440 4 speed, it was missing off the carb, does anybody have a pic of one installed and how it interacts with the linkage?

There is also a lever on the throttle shaft.

Here's one, 68-69 Hemi 4 speeds and 69 AVS 54 speed cars had these. Hemi and AVS versions had unique brackets and engagement arms but they work the same.

Scott, I think I'm missing that arm, are you still restoring these carbs?

Yes, looks like you are missing the arm.

Yes, absolutely! Still in the carb business.

I know well the dash pot was on '68 - '69 4-bbl 4-speeds, because I have one.

But I was never happy with that throttle action, the long delay in going to idle, and I took it off pretty soon after I took delivery of the car.

Apparently a lot of people didn't like them and took them off, which is why there is a restoration demand for them nowadays.

This is just to say, if you're in the market for a dash pot, you might not like it after you install it either. One solution might be to install it for original looks but make it inoperative.

I feel like an idiot, I had the wrong carb sitting on the 440, I dug the correct carb out and it has the arm on it,

Scott, this is the carb I'm going to send you, correct number and date code for my car
