Need some pics and info on A12 Bumper jack details - 02/10/09 09:37 PM

i want to get my trunk in order on my A12 Bee, can some one tell me what colors the hook, mast and foot should be to be correct and maybe a couple of pictures of correct layout of the parts in the trunk with spare tire in place.

Thanks to all who respond

These came out of a low mile survivor 69 Coronet but was built at St Louis plant, not Lynch Rd. I plan on using them in my A12 Bee.

Looks correct for an A12. The handle looks just like the 5600 mile survivor Bee's.

just doing my part ...

though your picture is helpful its too dark to get any detail of how the jack base is held in , can't see how the jack is held on , where's the tire iron ....

as far as me , the car is in storage and the jack pieces are in the basement so my picture would be a tad more useless ...

The jack handle goes under the edge of the tire with the V of the handle pointing towards the front of the car so that it hardly shows. There is a depiction of the configuration on the jack label under the deck lid. The only question that may need to be answered is whether the redline is up or down. My original tire that came out of an 1100 mile car has a dent in in the redline sidewall where it sat on the hjack handle for 20 years. The jack sticker shows it face up but I remember my spare in my new RR in 1969 being a good place to hold a rag and other junk (even a can of oil) in the center because it was fairly deep. I don't think the wheel would be face up because it would have a tendancy to be scratched by the jack base and hook. A lot of guys like to show it face up so that you can see the redline. I do it too because you can still see the blue soap film on it but turned it back over last year for shows.
