Original looks black in sun. New legendary looks brown in the sun. Is this correct?

The material was black, but it was dyed to give it a brownish, marbled natural look when new.
The dye does fade with time & weather.

This is the car that I posted in the WIW a month ago or so that I was looking at buying. The car sat up close to me for years and ended up on craigslist for 75k. ev2, 440-4, 4-speed car with burnt orange interior, gator grain top, black side stripe r/t se car. I ordered the top and headliner for it. had it in the sun and didn't think it was suppose to look like that lol.
