340 heat shields - 05/03/16 02:31 AM
I never knew there were on both sides. Here are left and right off a 69 340. Do they repop the right side?

Hi Hek,
Yes they are available. The ones with the part # number on them are quite a bit more cost. Mega parts carries them if I remember right. pm if you have any trouble locating one and I will get one for you. Hope you and your better half are doing Good! Schmitty

I edited the OP. I meant to ask about the right side. I have never seen one or a repop.

I believe the top one is a 318 the center 2 ports are separate on the 340

They are off a 69 340, no doubt. The center may have turned to dust.

Is the passenger side heat shield an early 340 thing? My 1970 340 only had the driver side shield. No gasket on the passenger manifold.

No shield ( or gasket ) on the pass side of any mopar small block.
Look for an OEM part number on the drivers side shield.
McCord did both sides and nether one had an OEM number on them
my money is on they're aftermkt shields
And as an FYI not only is the center divided on the 340 shield. But the exhaust port openings are actually taller on the 340 shield over the 318 shield
