Not going for number's matching, just how the wires are routed. Take note of the use of 90's and 180's at the distributor cap. Can the coil wire be 90 degrees and work ok ? How about # 7, 90 or 180 ? Thanks a ton. We are making a lot of these sets, and no complaints yet.. Can't be perfect, just want to look semi-correct.. Thank you..

These wires are great! You need to pop the tags off after you install them to make them look more correct.

My only thoughts are that pre 1970, all of the distributor boots are 180's, except for number 8.(we think) We are not trying to be concourse, just give customers something that looks mostly correct but performs better than anything else available..Thanks for the feedback. We send them with the markers so customers know which lead goes where.. Thanks, Rick G

Thanks, so 2 is a 90 also ?!?!. We knew 1-3-5-7-8 were 90's. What year did this configuration start ? 69 1/2 ? Nice info..TY

Sorry, no time to check out that link. However, I believe the Moparts member SUPERSTOCKRACER is the current owner of one of the lowest mileage original A12 Road Runners and I'm sure whatever his plug wire setup is could be considered correct, too. I have an old Mopar Action that has pictures of his car & engine compartment, but it's filed away somewhere and not readily accessible to see what those pictures show.

What ever you think is right. David Wise runs what I think is the country's best recognized judging outfit for concourse judging of Mopar's at National events...published several guides on what to look for.

i have been running the same date coded wires for 20 yrs with no problems. wouldn't mind replacing them with an upgraded set. what is so hard about making some with date codes?i guess i will wait until someone can reproduce something with the better wire that looks original.if i have to spend the money it may as well be right.

I agree. Someone had those date coded wires on their fresh engine, and it backfired all the way down the track. He switched to ours and I think he made a Chrysler division stamp for the yellow lettering.
