Need help on restoring v code runner - 12/20/15 06:24 PM

I have been looking with no luck for one of the good restoration guides for doing my 1970 road runner. I want to be able to look up all the stamps, stickers, marks, ect for a correct restoration. Also where do I get the stamps?

Every car was unique. The markings on your own car are the ONLY correct reference. Books and other "How Too" guides may give you some clues of where to find the markings, but copying the markings in the books will only result in a copy of someone else's car's details, not necessarily what's correct for your car.

That said, likely the most helpful guide you'll find are the books Dave Wise sells http://www.mmcdetroit.com/ICCA/

iagree The internet is your friend, in terms of researching original cars. Also editions of Mopar Action and other mags where original/survivor cars are depicted. These sources can help you pinpoint areas on your RR where markings are most commonly found. In some cases it can also be a function of the production plant/shift/sobriety smile

It also matters where your car was produced as each factory varied.

I have some under chassis pics of a very low mileage 1970 440+6 RR but it was built in LA

Thanks for the link Scott. My car had been "worked" over before I got it so original markings were long gone. It is a Lynch Road car.
