Here's the deal. I'm working on 1972 Duster which has specific window mounting hardware. Well you get the kit that is year specific and only part of the pieces are right and where are the instructions? NOT Has anybody tried to find an exploded view of the windows and how to mount them? NOT Sure glad the window was broken and the other one wasn't taken apart. At least I have a visual. I've also put this out there before and received little or no response. That's why the first post was so blunt. Any of you members have what I'm looking for? thx matt

The Service manual for your car will have a exploded view.
I could tell you how to assemble a b body door
but
I know very little about a bodys
That is why i asked what vehicle
You are refering to..

I have the 72 Chassis and Body manuals and it shows nothing. It's called a Valiant ventless door glass. Show nothing.

I have a 71 plymouth body manual
That has exploded views of
Front and rear valiant side glass..
I wonder why that info isn't in the
72 book?

I have a similar illustration but lets see something with an exploded view. How the mounts go into the glass. Where the paper gaskets go, etc. What's involved for replacing the track rollers. Where the pieces in the kit go. Thanks for the help guys.

It can be a little overwhelming..

As an apprentice in 76, my first job was a Lincoln door glass with the automatic vent window.. The new replacement window had 9 holes in it, and I had a whole bunch of roller gizmos sitting in the bottom of the door with a million bits of broken glass ( tempered glass).. I almost quit that day....LOL

You said the other side was together? You should be able to use it as a guide..

What you need to do is one piece at a time.. If you set the channels in your doors they can only line up a certain way and work.. Does the piece that fits the bottom of the glass ( that the regulator rollers fit into) do so with a thick piece of rubbery looking gasket material? Again look at the other side for placement on the glass.. If you are not comfortable attaching it to the glass, take it to an Auto Glass shop with your measurements and let them do it..

you need to disassemble your door
and lay out what you have in the kit
in front of you and see what you have that will fit.
some of these kits do not have all the parts
or they have plastic parts to replace metal ones.
do a door at a time so you can see
how it goes together if need be.

for the rollers
the ones that i have replaced
you have to grind off
the old ones from the backside
and then pry them off the arm.
then install the new ones in the same hole
then you swedge the ends over good with a hammer.
its not that hard to do.
