Re: What are the correct wheels for 70 V code cuda? - 11/30/1506:19 PM
They are a specific wheel. As best I remember they are a 14" center in a 15" band. If you will notice the picture I have attached of the set that is for sale in the wheels for sale section you can see the band is wider where it steps down to the wheel center. Matt

The part number 2944450 is the easiest, but it is not on early wheels. As posted it is a stepped down 15" ring on a 14" center. The date should be stamped next to the valve stem. Also the pentastar.
The ring should be marked 15x7 J and should also have a date.

If you decide not to take the $3K-$4K plunge for the correct 450 wheels seek out a set of 3766075 15x7 rims. They look similar and can be had for $250-$400 for all 4 of them.

I think I have an extra set of 2 in storage that I don't need anymore as my v code cuda is a 14 inch wheel car based on the sticker in the door jamb. I think they are 450's?? They have a little rust right around the end of the part # so the last 3 digits are rusty and I can not make it out clearly. I have not dismounted them and blasted them but I think it will blast off as it is surface rust. PM me if you have any interest.
Plus let me know guys if you can tell off the pics if they are 450's. Thanks

I have passed your information to someone looking for those wheels. [/quote]
I sold a mint pair of 6/9/70 earlier this year, it will be nice to see him complete the set. I have since ran across one more date afew weeks earlier...

They sure look like legit 450s and the 6 9 70 date code would be right but you really need to look closely at the part # over the valve stem to be sure. I am interested if you still have them. thanks.
