1972 B body pinch weld blackout

1972 B body pinch weld blackout - 10/31/15 05:05 PM

Working a 1972 Road Runner/GTX.....has anyone ever seen the lower pinch weld blacked out on an original car?
E bodies did it, but not sure if they did it in 72 on B bodies.

I know they did it on 71 B bodies. Also the hood lip.

I had a -71 SSP with blacked out pinch weld areas.
Original 383 car with 70000 miles on it.

I have a 72 RR with similar black pinch weld paint as previously posted by "steve70".

The car was repainted in late seventies, but the flat portion of the rocker and the pinch weld area appears to be original.
