71 Challenger wide hood molding

My 71 Challenger convertible has the wide hood and fender molding. The fender moldings are in good shape but the hood molding is cracked. Is this fixable?

Yes it's repairable, but after the cost of repair and chroming, it's going to be costly, very costly as potmetal repair/chroming is very expensive


IIRC Moparts member "ragtop" (Don) has a front hood strip, and IIRC the fender pcs as well for sale...might try contacting him

Unfortunately there are only 2 kinds of Challenger wide hood molding: those that are cracked and those that will.

The hood piece can be repaired and will be stronger. The trick is to find a competent pot metal craftsman.
