Production #'s on a 69 Pymouth GTX Track Pack Car? - 08/02/15 01:58 PM

In the process of negotiating price for a 69 GTX 4 speed 3.54 Dana project and wondered how many of those were built.

Thanks !

Numbers are approximate and not actual. Numbers are for cars built for sale in the US:

440's: ~ 3,357 hard tops & 145 convertibles
Hemis: ~ 56 hard tops and 2 convertibles

I was hoping there would be more of a pinpointed total for 440HP, 4 speed, 3.54 Dana cars.

You got some pretty cool cars in your collection. But I see the super bee is no longer with you?

Yep. I sold my 68 Bee last year. A few years to restore and a few to romp around and have fun with it. I'm looking for a 69/70 Roadrunner or GTX now to work on. Car went to a fella in Reno Nevada who used to have one in his younger days.

Those are the available US spec. numbers for what you asked, the problem with Chrysler's OPTION numbers is they are based on percentages, which on a production car like a '69 GTX hardtop (14,048) those numbers are +/- 7 units.

RS23L9 w/4-spd (28.5%) = 4,004 +/- 7
RS23L9 w/4-spd & 3.54s (23.9%) = 3,357 +/- 7
RS23L9 w/4-spd & 4.10s (4.5%) = 632 +/- 7

barring human error (on Chrysler's or my part) "advanced" number crunching would yield:

RS23L9 w/4-spd = 4,000 +/- 3
RS23L9 w/4-spd & 3.54s = 3,361 +/- 3
RS23L9 w/4-spd & 4.10s = 636 +/- 3

Thanks to 69CoronetRT & 6bblgt for the numbers. More of these track pack GTX's were made than I would have thought.
