s/b Exhaust manifold Heat Riser REPAIR - 05/28/08 09:28 PM

I had a mopar kit I bought off of E-bay but it must be for a 318 flapper is way small, shaft looks the same, bushings are ?able. Anyone have any photos of a manifold being repaired? A kit number? bushing & seal sizes? What about the stop was it a pin pressed in or part of manifold?

Won't be a 318, different rig. Not sure on sizes, but the original kit#'s were 3004574 for 70 and 3549398 for 71, what kit did you get?

That # kit is for a 73 340 in the book, but I am assuming the flapper you got is say 1-15/16 and the one you want is about 2-5/16 right?
I got a lot of these from a retired tech, and he said they always ordered the kit, and used 1 or two parts, then threw all the stuff in their tool box. I have quite a few from him, and never sold them as kits, because I was never positive all the right parts were there.

Here is a pic of a 3683946 (400) mixed up kit I have. I bet the flapper you have is like the top one, and you want the bottom one, and all the rest looks the same. Measure your bore, and if this bottom one works for you PM me your addy and I will send it.

I see in the other post rockauto is a suggestion. As far as the pin (the stop is the straighter spring), I would think you would have to make/replace the little nub you have left. See if you can find one @ a wrecker on a /6 or something, drill out yours (in a press, SMALLER than what you are going to put in) and go from there.

Here is the Chrysler instruction sheet I sent if anyone wants it.

If by the stop you mean the pin that's on the manifold, it is available at Brads Nos Parts for $4.00.

There were quite a few different packages, so if buying an NOS one, be sure it is correct for your application (year make model) and is actually a complete kit.
