Strut Rods on '69 B Body

Strut Rods on '69 B Body - 06/08/15 07:39 PM

When changing the ball joints and ties rods this weekend on the Coronet, I noticed one of the strut rods is bent.

What years/body style will interchange? Or where could I get new ones? The only place I found with regular strut rods was Mancini Racing. Everyone else had adjustable rods.

Thanks!

66-69 B-body for sure.

But I think 70-72 and All E-body are the same distance shoulder to shoulder. I've seen some with fine or coarse thread on the bushing end, but that might just be on A-bodies.

Why not just straighten it?

Bent how and where?? The way those things were produced they almost all have a slight kink in the end nearest the LCA.

And if it is bent, straightening it is definitely an option. The bar is always in tension except when braking in reverse.
