Has anyone let their electrical ends sit in a cup of Evaporust to see how well it cleans the green corrosion off?

I used CLR on my Dart's main dash harness. It cleans up the connectors quickly.

I just had a vehicle that had a lot of corrosion on the the tail light harness. I was thinking that I could just unplug it, and others, and let them sit in the solution overnight. Or as long as it takes. And then dry and dialectic them.

Would there be any problem with CLR wicking up wires and causing corrosoion later on?

I'm not sure. It didn't take long for my connections to clean up. I could start seeing crap floating to the surface as soon as I put them in the liquid.
